The global tennis ball market stands at $1.7B in 2026 and is projected to reach $3.0B by 2035 at 6.5% CAGR. The premium durability and sustainability segment — our blue ocean — has no dominant player. Wilson Triniti is the primary competitor, and it still degrades after 18–25 games. MaddBall is engineered to last 54+ games on felt alone, with a self-healing core that retains 99.8% pressure after 500+ games.

Self-healing polymers are growing at 23% CAGR — from $3.45B today to $27B+ by 2035. Zero competitors have applied this technology to tennis balls. We are the first mover and will own the new category. The incumbent dilemma is our permanent advantage: Wilson, Head, and Penn make $1.7B/year on replacement sales. True durability would destroy that revenue stream. They cannot innovate without destroying themselves.

Patent Moat

3 interlocking provisional patents filed April 2026. Each cross-references the others — protecting a category, not just a product. 17+ years of utility patent protection.

Technology Barrier

Reversible Diels-Alder chemistry + nano-felt electrospray deposition. 5–7 year first-mover head start before competitors can reverse-engineer and design around it.

Incumbent Dilemma

Wilson, Head, and Penn make $1.7B/year on replacement sales. True durability destroys that model. They cannot compete without cannibalizing themselves.

Market Timing

Self-healing polymers growing at 23% CAGR. Zero competitors have applied this technology to tennis. The category window is open now — and closing.

Current Traction

3 provisional patents filed April 2026. Independent lab testing protocol in place. Survey of 200 players: 87% want a dramatically longer-lasting ball, 73% willing to pay $15–18/can premium. 15 club manager interviews: 100% cite ball cost as a top-three operational challenge.

Revenue Pipeline

Q4 2026 recreational Amazon launch target — MaddBall Training and Junior (no ITF approval needed). Year 1 revenue target: $1.0M–$1.5M. ITF approval targeted Q2 2027, activating the pro track. Year 5 (2031): $65M–$85M revenue, $300M–$450M valuation.

Technology

Elastomeric core uses reversible Diels-Alder chemistry — furan and maleimide groups recombine at crack sites on impact, sealing micro-cracks within seconds. Nano-felt cover reinforced with silica nanoparticles and graphene oxide delivers 3× durability and 98% less microplastic shedding. 99.8% pressure retention after 500+ games vs. 60–80% for conventional balls.

Competitive Moat

Three interlocking provisional patents filed April 2026 — each cross-references the others. Together they protect a category, not just a product. 17+ years of utility patent protection. 5–7 year first-mover head start before competitors can reverse-engineer and design around it. Trade secret protection on exact furan/maleimide ratios, thermal activation parameters, and deposition processes.

Current stage

Current Traction

Provisional Patent #3 filed April 2026 — covers self-healing and nano-infused coatings for tennis strings and racket frames. Cross-referenced to Patents #1 and #2. MaddBall's nano-felt cover is already validated to reduce abrasive wear on strings vs. degrading conventional felt. Independent string-wear testing is built into the Phase 1 prototype protocol.

Revenue Pipeline

MaddStrings commercialization follows MaddBall's recreational launch and ITF approval. The platform creates a complete high-durability ecosystem under the MADD brand — expanding revenue per customer and deepening the competitive moat. Licensing leverage with Wilson, Babolat, and Head grows as MaddBall reaches $12M–$18M in Year 3 revenue.

Technology

Same Diels-Alder and nano-composite platform as MaddBall applied to racket strings and frames. Self-healing coatings repair micro-damage at the string surface. Nano-infused materials reinforce fiber structure and reduce inter-string friction. Result: 2–3× longer string life and significantly less notching vs. conventional polyester.

Competitive Moat

Patent #3 cross-references Patents #1 and #2 — together the three patents protect an integrated platform, not isolated products. The interlocking IP thicket makes the full ecosystem extremely difficult to design around. MaddBall and MaddStrings are engineered to work together, creating customer lock-in across the product line.

Brand Development

Current stage

Current Traction

MaddLife is the expanding line of sustainable apparel and accessories under the MADD brand. Together with MaddBall and MaddStrings, it creates a complete high-durability ecosystem. All key trademarks have been cleared — USPTO filings are in preparation across the full brand portfolio including MaddLife.

Revenue Pipeline

MaddLife revenue follows MaddBall's market penetration. As MaddBall builds brand recognition in the premium durability and sustainability segment, MaddLife apparel and accessories extend revenue per customer and deepen brand loyalty. The full ecosystem creates a defensible market position that individual products cannot.

Technology

MaddLife applies the same first-principles thinking to tennis apparel and accessories — built for multiple lifecycles, not single use. Fluoropolymer-free coatings, biodegradable base materials, and circular design principles align with the ITF Sustainability Roadmap, EU Circular Economy Action Plan, and ATP/WTA carbon-neutral commitments.

Competitive Moat

The MADD brand architecture creates a unified sustainability story across every product a tennis player touches. Trademark clearance completed across Classes 28, 25, and 35. Intent-to-use applications being prepared for MADDAN, MaddBall, MaddStrings, and MaddLife to secure nationwide priority.

Risk Disclosure

We Believe in Transparency.

Every investment carries risk. We present ours plainly so that prospective investors can make informed decisions.

01

Technology Development Risk

MaddBall's self-healing technology remains in development and testing. All performance, durability, and sustainability claims reflect targeted outcomes based on prototype testing and preliminary data as of April 2026. Actual results may differ materially. Independent lab certification and ITF approval are key milestones that must be achieved before commercial launch.

02

ITF Approval Timeline

ITF approval is targeted for Q2 2027 via independent lab validation. If delayed 6 months, Year 1 revenue drops approximately 40% to $600K–$900K — still breakeven with seed funding, as the recreational track (pressureless and training balls) does not require ITF approval. If delayed 12 months, Year 1 revenue drops 60%, but the business remains cash-positive by Year 2 in all scenarios.

03

Manufacturing Scale Risk

Scaling Diels-Alder chemistry and nano-felt electrospray deposition to commercial volumes requires capital and operational execution. Phase 1 targets 5K–10K prototype units with NDA contract manufacturing partners. Phase 2 scales to 1M+ units/year with Asian contract manufacturers. Phase 3 moves to a dedicated facility by 2029. Each phase is funded by the prior phase's cash flow.

04

Competitive Response

Wilson, Head, and Penn control 80%+ of the global market but face a structural cannibalization dilemma — true durability would destroy their replacement-sale revenue model. Low threat through 2028. Medium threat from 2029 as MaddBall reaches $12M–$18M revenue, at which point acquisition becomes more likely than direct competition. The three-patent IP thicket provides 17+ years of protection and a 5–7 year first-mover head start.

Next Steps

$5M to Own a Category.

MADDAN Corp. is raising $5M at a $12M–$15M pre-money valuation ($17M–$20M post-money). 18+ months runway to first revenue and ITF approval. Every dollar is tied to a milestone. If you represent capital aligned with deep-technology sports innovation and sustainability, we want to hear from you.
